Markus Scott-Alexander will be conducting a low skill/high sensitivity Expressive Arts workshop in Vancouver, BC, on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 from 7 to 10 PM at VSOHA.
“Celebrating our Bodies!” Is about deepening our enjoyment of the ever-changing movement within us and between us. The workshop fee is $100; $80 for students.
the Mystic and the Artist II - October 2019
This course promises to enter the mystery....with deep play. A studio class filled with opportunities to bridge our inner and outer lives.
This course looks at how a life of deep inner searching can be coupled with being helpful in the wold. Painting, writing, music and movement will provide the means for experiential and theoretical exploration of the nature of the mystics desire to create a language of the soul.
Introspection, imagination and the arts (Online)
Our inner life has movement. That movement can be tracked. We can track it with a paintbrush, our bodies, our words. This workshop’s aim is to strengthen our resonance with the space between inner movement and outer expression. Please have oil pastels or crayons and some drawing paper handy. This drawing will draw upon the movement within. Other modalities will be included to flesh out our ability to participate with our vibrant inner life, in the world. Imagination is the bridge.
